Netflix is something we use almost every day now and for those who do have it, it’s hard to imagine life without it. While many think they may be Netflix experts, there are tonnes of secrets within the Netflix website that almost nobody knows about.

 

1. Secret Netflix codes

 

Inside Netflix there are a bunch of genres and many genres that you can’t see. To get to many of them you need to know the secret code. Once you have the code, simply put it into your browser and it will take you to the category your code is linked to.

Here’s some codes and what you need to do. Login to your Netflix account on your computer. Then put the url as it is below, where it says “INSERTNUMBER” this is where we will put our codes.

2. You can change your subtitle appearance

 

If you really do not like the standard Netflix subtitle font, you do not need to put up with it. Netflix has a variety of different subtitle font options to choose from. You can even select a different shadow colour, font, change text size, choose a background and even add a window.

Step 1: You need to login to your Netflix account.

Step 2: Then go to account (https://www.netflix.com/YourAccount)

Step 3: Scroll down to the bottom where it says “My Profile” and select “Subtitle Appearance” or click here to go straight there: https://www.netflix.com/SubtitlePreferences

Step 4: Choose the settings that you prefer and click save. These setting affect subtitles on all supported devices.

 

3. You can have Netflix parties!

 

If you have a friend or a partner or a family member that you always watch Netflix with, but now they are far away and can’t watch it with you. A Chrome extension known as Netflix party can come in handy.

What Netflix party does, is it allows you to sync your Netflix viewing so that you can both watch it at the same time together. It can also be used for groups to get together. There is also a chat feature in there, so you can all make comments about the show to each other, while watching it at the same time. 4. Keyboard Shortcuts

 

Everyone seems to always just use their mouse to click on things on the Netflix website. But that’s not always the quickest way around Netflix. Keyboard short cuts exist and everyone should use them.

  • Pressing “F” will make a video full screen.
  • Pressing “Esc” when a video is in full screen will put it back to a window.
  • Pressing the “Spacebar” will pause and play your video
  • Pressing the < (left) or > (right) arrow keys on your keyboard will move videos forward or back 10 seconds.
  • Pressing “M” will mute your video.
