Following the events of the late 2019 and the early 2020 bushfire season, the nbn worked with the Federal Government to enhance telecommunications resiliency as a key component in a wider $37.1m federally funded program to strengthen telecommunications against natural disasters. This was an initiative that IPSTAR Broadband was keen to be a part of and over the Christmas break, we worked with the nbn to to support the deployment of a number of Satellite Community Wi-Fi units which will keep communities connected during natural disasters. IPSTAR Broadband will now be looking after over 100 fixed sites, 5 trucks and 12 flyaways to ensure our regional communities are connected.
