nbn™ Sky Muster™ and Sky Muster™ Plus Connections Lead Time Update
The COVID-19 situation has led to an increased demand for nbn™ Sky Muster and nbn™ Sky Muster Plus services as more people choose to work and study from home. The increased demand coupled with restrictions placed on installation staff in accessing certain sites, including the need for installers to cross state borders (with some State borders, and other area restrictions still ongoing) as well as ongoing supply chain impacts, has placed pressure on connection appointment lead times.
At this stage, we expect that the timeframe to return to a more normal lead time for connection appointments is in the vicinity of 5-7 weeks. Currently, the lead time for an appointment is, again in average, 19 calendar days or just under three weeks. Keeping in mind that assurance incidents are prioritised over new connections, we’ve implemented several immediate actions with the aim of improving the situation as quickly as possible.
