Depending on the type of nbn connection that you have available at your home will determine what type of wireless modem or router that you will need. Please see below for an explanation on each of the types of Technology and the required device.
Fibre to the Node (FTTN)
This is a type of fixed line nbn service that is delivered using a mix of Copper cables and fibre optic cable. The fibre cable will run to a node (termination box) in the street or surrounding area and from the Node copper lines will run to each home.
For this type of technology you will require a VDSL modem router that supports the speed tier that you have chosen on your plan.

Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC)
This is a type of fixed line nbn service that uses new and existing HFC cabling and fibre optic cable. The fibre cable will run to a node (termination box) in the street or surrounding area and from the Node HFC lines will run to each home.
