Using Apps To Make Phone Calls When You Have No Reception

There are times when you may be at home and the mobile network that usually reaches into your home is no longer working. The mobile network might be down because of a nearby bushfire or another similar disaster. It’s possible to still make calls to friends or family during an emergency through popular apps such as Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp, Line and Viber.

How to make calls on Facebook Messenger
Step 1: Open the Facebook Messenger App
Step 2: Click on a friend you would like to call
Step 3: On the top right of the screen there will be an icon that looks like a phone. Click on this and a call will begin

How to make calls on Whatsapp
Step 1: Open Chat
Step 2: Click on a contact you would like to call
Step 3: Tap the call icon and the call will begin

How to make calls on Line
Step 1: Open the Line app
Step 2: Click on “Calls”
Step 3: Click on a contact and a call will begin
Step 4 (other option): Click on a contact you have been chatting with recently, look towards the top right and click on the call icon. A call will begin.

How to make calls on Viber
Step 1: Open Viber
Step 2: Click on “Calls”
Step 3: Select a contact you would like to call and press on the phone icon. A call will begin.
